Construction Begins at Madison Park!

Since school let out on May 25th, CHASSE Building Team has been hard at work beginning the construction process. Only 2 days after summer recess, the team began to mobilize…

On May 27th, a perimeter fence went up that surrounds our construction site. In an effort to establish a barrier but also create excitement, our team lined the fence with custom banners. These banners feature renderings of what will soon be the new Madison Park Middle School! There are also small peep holes where students, parents, and the surrounding community can view construction progress firsthand!

Next, our team began what’s called the “make safe” process. This involves salvaging any equipment that is to be re-used and shutting off utilities to the areas of construction, such as water and power – a necessary step to avoid hazardous conditions during the demolition process. The pictures below show the disconnected solar panels in the parking lot, now ready to be demo’d!

The biggest/most notable change to the campus has been the demolition of the gymnasium, which our team spent two weeks taking down.

Next up: relocating the cooling towers and earthwork!
