What a difference a month makes! Construction at Madison Park has been moving quickly! Now that the drywall is going up and exterior paint has started, you no longer need to “use your imagination” to picture what this campus is becoming. You know you’re in a classroom when you’re in a classroom! You can climb the learning stair staircase! You can see the kaleidoscope-colored windows! It’s tangible. It’s real!

One of the most impressive structures at Madison Park is the new STEAM Suite (building C). This building will house 2 Makerspace classrooms for hands-on learning, a robotics room, and an arts and music room. The Media Center is also located here and features a 2-story learning stair that’s surrounded by massive windows on 3 sides! This building is huge – it has 29’ high ceilings!

Not to be outdone, the classrooms at Madison Park are equally impressive. They are built for collaborative learning. Each classroom has an operable glass wall which will allow teachers to move lessons into the hall. There, students can utilize flexible furniture for group learning. The view from inside the classrooms aren’t bad either – Camelback Mountain, neighborhood parks, and the downtown Phoenix skyline are all within view.

Next up: Grading and irrigation for the baseball fields! Our team will be preparing to plant grass for all the extracurricular Lion activities!
